Global Talent Stream is an initiative of the Canadian immigration authorities aiming at allowing foreign professionals who are permanently resident in Canada to bring their skills and expertise to Canada to earn. A Way To Hire A Foreign Worker In Canada
It is important to note that this type of program does not offer work permits for the spouses or family members of the foreign professionals who will be allowed entry to Canada as long as they are not working in Canada directly. This is an express entry program; therefore, it requires the foreign worker to have a work permit before he or she can apply for the opportunity of Global Talent Stream and proceed with the selection of occupation. Permanent residents of Canada can use Global talent pool without a work permit, but this option may be unavailable for the spouses or family members of the workers. In general, permanent residents who sponsor workers for the pool do not receive any points and it is not likely they can get into the pool if they do not have a work permit.
In Canada, there are many strategies to attract immigrants such as increasing the employment rates, offering permanent residence programs and the availability of jobs in Canada’s two main provinces, Ontario and Quebec. The majority of employers prefer to hire temporary foreign workers over others because of the availability of work permits and the ability of temporary foreign workers to adjust to Canadian life.
